It looks like the upcoming Intel Developer Forum is going to be an interesting one, even more so now that Rambus and Kingston are looking to join the party. They have recently broken the news about their development of a threaded module prototype which uses DDR3 DRAM technology, boasting improved data throughput by up to 50%, and if that wasn’t good enough, reduced power consumption by 20% when compared with conventional modules. Rambus will be showcasing a static demonstration of this prototype at the upcoming Intel Developer Forum, so stay tuned!
