You may have seen the Rockchip concept device a short while ago, and you were most likely disappointed that it was a concept device. That being said, Chinese PMP maker Ramos might be able to lift your spirits with its announcement of an ARM-based Android MID that supports 1080p MKV, AVI and other video formats. The teaser image released with the news release sure looks quite similar to the Rockchip concept device, so you’ll want to keep your fingers crossed. The good news is that we probably won’t have to wait for more than a week to find out the truth about this device. Stay tuned!

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
