Samsung brings YouTube to living rooms

Samsung has enabled selected Blu-ray players of theirs to access YouTube throug a broadband connection, and this capability will be a free upgrade for those who currently have the Samsung BD-P1600, BD-P3600, and BD-P4600 residing in their homes. All you need to do is press a button on the remote or head on to YouTube through the player’s onscreen menu, where you can then check out the highest rated videos or search for a video of your choice using the virtual keyboard. As Blu-ray player sales start to pick up (albeit slowly) around the world, this move makes sense since it will help Samsung’s range gain a cutting edge over the rest of the market by offering something different.
