Samsung Electronics inches up netbook hierarchy in Europe

Samsung Electronics is tipped to overtake Asustek Computer and Hewlett-Packard in Europe where the netbook market is concerned by the time Q3 is over, breathing down leader Acer’s neck in the process. This is partly due to the success of its netbook sales as well as services from mobile telecom carriers in Europe which takes after the business model used in the Americas and Asia. While Samsung could possibly ship a whopping six million netbooks for the year 2009, they could also hit the 10 million kark sometime next year as the Korean giant continues to push sales of ultra-thin notebooks by bundling them with 3G services. Healthy competition is always good, don’t you think?
