Samsung’s latest green effort would be the S5500E Lydford eco-friendly phone, where this slider is made completely out of recycled materials, where you will even find the packaging to be recycled. It features an alarm that lets you know when the phone’s battery is fully juiced up so that you can unplug it at that instant to save even more juice. Features-wise, the S5500E doesn’t disappoint as it has a 2.2″ QVGA display, boasts HSDPA connectivity and comes with a 3-megapixel camera. No idea on pricing or a release date as at press time though, but you can probably bury this in your backyard once the phone dies to fertilize your next batch of apple trees.
