Samsung X Series notebooks

Samsung looks as though they’re jumping aboard the X bandwagon with their X Series of slim notebooks, where they are all powered by Intel’s Consumer Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) processors. These new notebooks won’t be thicker than 1″, and they weigh a maximum of 4 pounds. The 14″ X420, 14.6″ X520 and 11.6″ X120 will feature a scratch-resistant UV coating alongside a delectable glossy finish, where the first two will have 6-cell batteries while the X120 comes with a 4-cell battery. They’ll all probably pack in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a memory card reader and HDMI output, although nothing’s confirmed yet. While they ship with Windows Vista Home Premium, you can rest easy knowing that a free Windows 7 upgrade is thrown in when the latest operating system is available this coming October 22nd.
