Students are now able to pick up the new Windows 7 operating system from Microsoft for as little as £30, since the educational preorder will kick off on September 30th (the number seems to crop up too often here), which is roughly 22 days ahead of when the operating system will hit retail shelves officially. This deal will work only with upgrade versions, where the copies will need to be downloaded in advance. Strangely enough, both Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional versions will also retail for £30 price, although the latter does come with more features and by right, should cost more. In order to qualify, you will need to visit a special site and enter in a valid university email address. This deal applies to UK students only.
