Toshiba has just rolled out its Journe Touch multimedia touchscreen Mobile Internet Device that looks like an all-round cool device, although we’re still not too sure which niche this fits in. We do know that the 7″ touchscreen display is large enough for viewing videos and doubling up as a portable digital photo album, and also works great for browsing the Web on the go via its built-in Wi-Fi connectivity in addition to checking out your social networking status from a solitary device. The inclusion of HDMI connectivity through an optional cradle enables stored content to be viewed on any HD-ready TV. It will be powered by the Windows CE 6.0 operating system, and comes with an SDHC memory card slot for expansion purposes. No idea on pricing, but expect to see it hit the market sometime in Q4 this year. [Press Release]
