Toshiba has fully embraced its Blu-ray side by unveiling the P500 Satellite notebook which features a Blu-ray drive, ensuring HD DVD is a thing of the past. The P500 is a massive machine, featuring an 18.4″ LCD display at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution alongside the following :-
- Intel Core 2 Duo processor
- 4GB RAM
- Up to 500GB hard drive
- NVIDIA graphics card
- Three USB 2.0 ports
- eSATA/USB
- 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity
- 5-in-1 Bridge Media port
- ExpressCard slot
- FireWire support
- Integrated Harman Kardon speakers
- Full backlit keyboard
- Multi-touch trackpad controller
Out later this October, Toshiba has yet to release its pricing details. We suspect this is going to cost a handsome amount.
