Verizon looks set on releasing the Gateway LT2016U netbook bundle later this year, where you will have to fork out $149.99 for this after a mail-in rebate of $100, tying yourself down to a 2-year contract at the same time. What makes the Gateway LT2016U netbook special? Well, it will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Gobi technology, essentially offering you the ability to remain connected to the Internet no matter where you are as long as there is a viable 3G connection. Unfortunately, the specifications are nothing much to shout about being a standard netbook that comes with a 10.1″ display at 1,024 x 600 resolution, 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a webcam and Windows XP Home.
