Nobody is fond of Apple’s AppStore kill switch, where they can kill an app if they decide that it doesn’t conform to their terms and services. The worst part is that they don’t do refunds either. That being said, it’s not too hard to understand that they’re just trying to protect themselves. It seems that the Windows Marketplace also has these safeguards in place. The slight difference in this case is that Microsoft does state that the Marketplace remotely uninstalls an app, they will make refunds in such cases. It certainly looks like Microsoft’s design is slightly better in this sense.
