Acer plans to surpass Dell, aims for the #2 PC maker spot

Gianfranco Lanci (Acer’s president) said it earlier today in a press conference in which several products were announced. Acer will surpass Dell in market share within the next six months. Acer has been on a roll recently, thanks to the incredible success of its Aspire line of computers. The company wants to go deep into smartphone territory and although the first attempt was only “fair”, Acer is set to come back with more powerful Android phones. HP is currently the #1 computer maker in the world.
