Asus UL50 now available

Those who are looking for a regular notebook with a generous display might want to consider the 15.6″ Asus UL50 which is now available in the US. It will be powered by an Intel SU7300 ultra-low voltage 1.3GHz processor, coupled with Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, up to 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive and Windows Vista Home Premium as the operating system of choice. Expect the usual suspects to show up as well, including a DVD burner, a 1,366 x 768 glare-type LED backlight display, a VGA webcam, HDMI and VGA outputs, Wi-Fi N connectivity, as well as a purported 11 hours of battery life – guess the test conditions must be extremely favorable to hit that figure. The Asus UL50 will retail from $799.99 upwards.
