With the Radeon HD 5770 and 5750, ATI has what it takes to win the hearts and minds by introducing DX11-class hardware for less than $160. The cards use a 128-bit bus (versus 256-bit for high-end ones), but they should be able to bring a level of performance that is comparable with the last-generation high-end models, for les power. The mid-range is a segment where users usually don’t care about a small performance difference anyway. In theory, that should mean a lot of design-wins with PC makers currently switching to Windows 7. These cards are nowhere to be seen at Dell (XPS line) or HP (Elite line). May be the timing was off… (nice cooler design!)
