Canon EOS 1D Mark V tomorrow?

The word on the street is that the Canon EOS 1D Mark V will be announced tomorrow to coincide with Canon’s 50th SLR anniversary. If you wonder why the Mark IV version was skipped, some explain it by the fact that it is an unlucky number in Japan (so the next PlayStation will be PS5?). Here are the specifications that one can find on the web (unconfirmed, but usually correct):

  • 16Megapixel APS-H sensor
  • 12fps burst
  • 1080p 24,25,30,60fps video
  • 19 auto-focus points

Pro photographers are said to have provided nice quotes and all, but that’s not unusual. Note that this is a photo of the 1D Mark III. [via electronista and canonrumors]
