Compaq CQ61 $400 15.6″ Laptop

Compaq/HP has announced this CQ61 laptop that uses an AMD Sempron processor and and ATI graphics processing unit. It comes with Windows 7, 2GB of RAM, 160GB of storage and a DVD Writer. It is aimed at first PC buyers or users who do basic computing tasks like web, music, email and watching DVD. The 15.6″ should provide plenty of visual comfort and the $400 starting price will probably catch the eye.
