
2012 might be the year ancient Mayans in a fictional world predicted that the earth as we know it, would end, but they were apparently miles off track as the only thing which would end would be the MSN Direct service. Yes, Microsoft will be pulling the plug onthe MSN Direct service on January 1st, 2012. At least there is more than enough time for subscribers to switch to other service providers, where the process is as painless as shutting down the service anytime before the ill fated date while reinvesting a refund of your unused service portion elsewhere.
