Gmail gets Google Docs Preview

Gmail users can now enable Google Docs Preview, a new feature that might save time when receiving links to Google docs documents from friends and colleagues. the idea is that if you reply to an email in which a document was attached, you’ll need to look at the document. With the preview, the document will show up right in the email, instead of opening a new window/tab. “To enable Google Docs previews, go to the Labs tab under Settings”
