As Motorola prepares to announce the Droid, the device’s staging page (non-public URL) has leaked it seems. If you have not followed the Moto Droid drama unfold, this is a high-end phone from Motorola that has a large touch display and a QWERTY keyboard. It runs on Android 2.0 and comes with the following specifications (highlights only):

- Exchange support

Verizon will get the Droid, but I wonder if Sprint will have it too, at some point… to be continued. If you want to see more screenshots and get all the little bits of info, head to BGR.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
