WiLan has announced that Nikon has signed a multi-year agreement to license its WiFi technology for use in upcoming products. While the specific terms are confidential, there’s no doubt that WiFi is in the roadmap for cameras. Nikon already has Wi-Fi enabled cameras in its Coolpix line, but in DSRL cameras this is still an option, and often a bulky one. Hopefully, we’ll know more right before CES or PMA.
