
Those who were disappointed by the Maemo 5′s main weakness – the lack of multitouch capability, can rejoice as Nokia has let out word that the next version, Maemo 6, is able to handle capacitive displays and boast multitouch capability, supporting both landscape and portrait modes. Too bad this promising bit of news is not backed up by a release date of Maemo 6 devices, which means we’ll just have to keep both our eyes and ears peeled – hopefully for not too long.
