Palm Pre might have microSD memory card slot

Word has it that an updated Palm Pre might come with a microSD memory card slot – at least those which are bound for Mexico, at least, available via the Telcel carrier. This piece of news came about thanks to a bunch of videos that showed a Palm Pre with a Telcel icon, alongside the person in the video mentioning the microSD memory card slot. Sounds good for our Mexican brothers, but we do have this question – what took Palm so long to include a microSD memory card slot (if this is proved true), and why didn’t they do so in the first place?
