Sagem and Puma have teamed up to bring a new Puma cellphone sometime in Q2 next year, which will be right before the 2010 FIFA World Cup kicks off. Yes sir, Puma will probably hope that the most watched event on earth will help them sell a healthy number of handsets, but teaming up with Sagem isn’t exactly the smartest move in our books. According to both companies, the Puma handset “will embrace both sport and style with features, functions, and design that reflect the DNA of the Puma brand and encourage usage of data and commerce services.” What do you think of their collaboration – a dud or a potentially huge success?
