Sigma has rolled out an update to its DP1s digital camera which will maintain its predecessor’s sensor and processor, although improvements will be made in terms of functionality, where one will be able to simultaneously shoot separate RAW and JPEG images, alongside an option to map the Quick Set function to the digital zoom buttons. With a 14-megapixel FOVEON X3 direct image sensor that boasts 2,652 x 1,768 resolution across all three layers, you will be pleasantly surprised to know that shooting backlit subjects will offer a much more satisfying result compared to other times before. While we have no idea on when this puppy will arrive along with its price tag, whispers abound that November is the right time to look out for the Sigma DP1s.
