
This might be a decade and a half too late in coming, but as the adage goes, “better late than never.” This SNES developer’s cartridge will give budding programmers a chance to load your own code, run it on your SNES (if it is still working, of course) followed up by a debugging session. It will be running on a heart of an Atmel AVR ATmega644 that will power the boot loader while enabling firmware updates via USB. It would be interesting to see what kind of games will come out from the enthusiast community with this.
