Tomorrow, Toshiba will officially introduce two touch-enabled laptops, the Satellite M505 ($950) and the Satellite U505 ($1050). Both computers share similar specifications, but the U505 is smaller with a 13.3″ while the M505 has a 14″ display. Obviously they have different looks and finish as well.
To maximize the “touch” user experience, Toshiba will ship with Bulletin Board and Reel Time, two applications with a user-interface optimized for touch-displays. Bulletin Board can be thought of as a desktop optimized for touch, with photos, or a TODO list. it is user-configurable. Reel Time lets you access files based on when they were opened, with a touch interface. Users can go way back in time (months).
