Wind Up Battery

Rechargeable batteries do address the waste dump problem, but they’re of no use whenever they run out of juice and you don’t have a power outlet nearby to keep them recharged. Enter the Wind Up Battery concept that will recharge its batteries through the standard power outlet or via its hand crank whenever there is no power supply available in the vicinity. A simple concept that is perfectly doable – no idea on why manufacturers haven’t really looked into this – perhaps it takes a whole lot of charging just to refill a single AA battery?
