Withings from France has just announced its Wi-Fi Body Scale, making this the first of its kind in the world where it is able to record and send vital statistics such as the user’s body weight, lean and fat mass, and calculated body mass index (BMI) to his/her secure webpage. Alternatively, you can also opt for the Wi-Fi Body Scale to send such information to the free Withings iPhone application known as WiScale. Sleek enough to warrant a place in any bathroom, it measures a mere 0.9″ in thickness and comes in a delectable black and steel design. This is one example of where Wi-Fi technology has just made an inroad, and you can bring home this connected scale for $159 a pop. What other home appliances you would like to see feature Wi-Fi connectivity?
