Acer To Increase Focus On Android

In a recent interview, head of Acer’s mobile division, Aymar de Lencquesaing, said that the company plans to shift its attention more towards Google’s Android and reduce its Windows Mobile effort. This of course shouldn’t be a surprise to too many people, especially since it’s quite obvious that Android is gaining quite a bit of momentum, and phone manufacturers are increasingly choosing Android over windows Mobile. Android: Android is the mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets.
