The Cool Rider certainly doesn’t look anything like a Segway, but it probably would fall into the personal transportable category of vehicles. Armed with a battery powered motor capable of hitting 12mph, the Cool Rider isn’t too much of a slouch, especially since it has enough juice in it to run for about an hour on a full charge. It battery pack itself is removable, as in the standing sled at the back. This means that you could detect the standing sled, and just use the front portion of it to pull you along while you’re on some roller skates. It’s a tad pricey at $1250, but it’s also certainly a lot cheaper than a Segway.
