This new system-on-a-chip is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex-8 processor, boasting support for 1080p H.264 video playback, OpenGL ES 2.0 and Flash acceleration. Apart from that, it will not only target portable media players but would offer “low power, high performance” devices such as netbooks, web tablets, connected TVs, home media hubs and video conferencing systems among others to take advantage of it as well. Samples are currently being distributed to partners, and shipping is expected to commence early 2010.
