iPhone Has Data Munching Bug?

This issue hasn’t been verified by Apple just yet, but if it’s true, then iPhone owners out there will have to be careful when they’re using Safari on their iPhone, as you might end up with a rather huge (say a few thousand clams) data bill. Word is that there is a bug in Safari for the iPhone that will leave a Motion JPEG video stream open, even if you close the Safari app, causing the stream to continue to gobble up your precious data (and chalk up a rather hefty data bill). Fortunately Motion JPEG isn’t a commonly used web codec, but it’s often used by webcams, so you’ll need to be careful. Apparently the current workaround provided by the person who discovered the bug is to navigate to another page after you’re done, that will interrupt the stream.
