One of the wackier home-made vehicles to date, the JL421 Badonkadonk Land Cruiser cum Tank was specially built and designed by NAO Design of Palo Alto, California back in 2002. This is an actual motorized vehicle that can be purchased directly from Amazon, although it will cost you a cool $20,000 to bring one home. Nicknamed “The Donk”, this amazing piece of engineering will run on a quartet of off-road wheels that have been carefully hidden by a unique industrial-strength rubberized flexible skirt which offers protection to the wheels to within an inch of the ground. It can seat up to 4 people within, but two would be best if comfort is at the top of your list.
