Who would’ve thought that the Queen’s English would suffer the ignomity of having its GCSE English literature exam featuring questions that will include text messaging? The new exam which is currently being introduced by the Assessment Qualifications Alliance (AQA) enable students to obtain 10% of their overall mark for the segment on text message linguistics. Some of the answers will require listing down examples of common text shortcuts. Makes us wonder how much worth the paper has now when the results come out…
