Samsung To Pay 1.3b For Patent Use

The folks over at Qualcomm must be wearing rather big smiles today, since Samsung has announced that it has come to an agreement with Qualcomm, and will pay $1.3 billion for using Qualcomm’s CDMA, WCMA, and OFDMA patents for the next 15 years. If that wasn’t good enough, the $1.3 billion will be paid upfront, with additional royalties to be paid afterwards. Talk about good cashflow!
