Sharp has started to ship what is deemed to be the thinnest auto-focus, 5-megapixel CMOS camera module. Measuring slightly more than 0.25″ thick, this module comes with a flat-screen lens and high-density design for its auto-focusing CMOS sensor. This much smaller form factor compared to other 5-megapixel phone offerings currently available is currently available for sampling.
