
Vudu just announced that its service now integrates Wikipedia information about movies, actors and more. Users will be able to read articles and follow links, just like they would on Wikipedia.com. However, Vudu is also adding links to Vudu information like the filmography of an actor/actress. That’s not only an interesting way to know more about the content, but it can also help find related content.
Because all the user-interface is generated on Vudu’s remote servers (like a site or a remote desktop), the company has been able to do steady upgrades, and also provide a consistent experience across many devices. We’re curious to see what’s coming next. Now if only Vudu could build a PC client…
