While it’s certainly not the 100,000 apps that Apple’s App Store has, 20,000 is certainly a significant milestone, and that’s the number of apps that the Android Market is offering now. Google doesn’t officially release the stats and popularity of the store, but a site called AndroLib has been very diligent at tracking the activity in the Android Market since it was launched. Based on figures from that site, about 44.6% of the reviews on the apps rate them 5 stars out of 5, which isn’t all that bad. Do you think that the Android Market will catch up with Apple’s AppStore anytime soon?
