It seems like Apple had a rather good month in October. According to market research firm NPD Group, Apple’s 21.5-inch iMac was the best selling desktop computer, and the 13-inch MacBook Pro was the number one laptop. One analyst pointed that said month was rather bad for Windows desktops, probably because retailers were pushing existing inventory prior to the launch of Windows 7. Just in case you didn’t know, NPD’s figures are pulled from online and retail store sales figures, and do not include direct sales from the manufacturer to consumers.
