Russian hacker teateam is proud to announce that he has managed to restore support for Atom-based Hackintoshes which are powered by Snow Leopard 10.6.2. Apparently, Apple disabled the processor in a revision to the kernel in 10.6.2, removing support for the Atom processor which results in updated netbooks being useless. Well, not any more – teateam managed to patch the new kernel successfully, and so far users have reported nothing but success. Too bad this Atom crack isn’t as simple as “point-and-click”, so get ready a mug of coffee and check out the hack details here.
