There must be something special about clocks that cause folks to constantly come up with new and interesting ways to showcase time. The Bulbdial is another way to make telling the time a fancy affair again. Instead of relying on the run to make the gnomon (sundial) work, the Bulbdial uses 3 layers of rings of LEDs to project the time. You can pick up the kit for the Bulbdial at Evil Mad Science for $65, and you’ll need some basic soldering skills to get the thing assembled. Would you go to the trouble of building this just to tell the time? We certainly hope so.
