The Zii Summit at Singapore showed off a new range of iPod speaker docks that fall under the ZiiSound brand. Don’t be misled though – these speakers won’t be powered by Creative’s Zii stemcell processor despite carrying the Zii name. As for the ZiiSound D5 iPod dock, you get a wireless iPod connector which is capable of transmitting audio to the actual speakers via Bluetooth connectivity, doubling up as an iPod/iPhone charger alongside a built-in 3.5mm audio jack that makes it easy to incorporate other portable music devices or computers as long as they have a compatible headphone output. No word on pricing, but we could be looking at a $300 price point as the ZiiSound ships sometime early next year.
