EtherPad Returns And Will Be Open-Sourced

We were certainly sad at the news that EtherPad would be closing down its service following Google’s takeover of the company. Fortunately it seems that the furor behind the whole issue seems to have brought about a change of heart. In a new blog post by ex-CEO, Aaron Iba, EtherPad has been confirmed to be back online for the time being, and will stay online until the AppJet team can open-source EtherPad. As an additional bonus, registered EtherPad users will be getting beta access to Google Wave by the end of the month. Check out the official blog post on this here.
