Google Nexus One To Cost $199?

With more and more details of the Nexus One being leaked, rumors are also showing up fast and furiously. We’d like to stress that this is still firmly in the “rumor” bin, and according to the rumor, the Nexus One will cost $199 when launched, and it achieves this price point by being subsidized by Google. It’s hard to determine whether there’s any truth in this at the moment, and despite Google being quite rich, subsidizing a phone is still a lot of money, though it certainly sounds like something the folks at Google would consider doing. The rumor goes on to say that while the current version of the phone runs on GSM networks, a CDMA version will also follow, which would be good news for folks on Verizon or Sprint networks. Do you think that this rumor might become a reality?
