Google Visual Search For Android

It seems like the camera on your Android-powered phone is going to become even more important than it already is. What are we talking about? Well, it’s Google Visual Search for Android, of course. Simply put, the service will allow users to take a picture of a location on their Android-powered device, and it will trigger a Google search, which will then pull up information related to the image. Imagine taking a picture of the Santa Monica Pier entrance, and in a few seconds you’ll get an audio-visual narrative explaining the image. Check out a YouTube video on it here.

The company was created in 1998 and went public in 2004. Google is one of the most visited site in the world.
