
Universal Studios made a promise a long time ago, touting to launch a Blu-ray/DVD hybrid disc, and they’re finally going to make good on their promise where the ‘Flipper discs’ are concerned. This technology enables one side of the disc to hold a 50GB Blu-ray version of the film, while the other side would contain 9GB DVD technology. Would this somewhat future-proof media move more sales? We believe so – only if the price is right.
