I-O Data has rolled out its latest external Blu-ray burner – the BRP-US6 which will hook up to your computer or notebook via USB 2.0 (why not USB 3.0, we wonder) connectivity, where it is able to handle 6x burning for BD-R SL, 2x for BD-R DL/BD-RE and 6x reading with BD-ROM discs. Apart from that, it handles DVD burning very well with DVD-R/+R at 8x, 6x on DVD-RW/+RW and 5x on DVD-RAM discs. Expect to see the I-O Data BRP-US6 hit Japan later this month for approximately $343.
