While many of you will hate statistics and numbers, Apple will certainly be paying attention to a recent survey by ComScore, especially since that survey reports that Apple has managed to overtake Microsoft in the US smartphone market share pie. With the popularity the iPhone has enjoyed, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, but Microsoft certainly isn’t going to be too happy with this development, especially since Windows Mobile has been in the market much longer than Apple’s iPhone has. ComScore conducts its monthly surveys in the US to measure the number of devices (which obviously is related to operating systems at the moment) are currently in used. The data in this report is summarized over a few months, ending in October. Check out details on the survey here.
