Now that most people have accepted the (still unofficial) situation that Google will be offering its own phone in 2010, speculation is growing that the company might also offer its own netbook. After all, we do know that Google has started to dip its feet into the OS market, and is working with the big boys such as Acer, ASUS, Freescale, HP, Lenovo and many others. That’s probably quite similar to the situation with Android when it was launched, so could it be going down the same path, and end up with Google coming up with its own Google-branded netbook? TechCrunch has reported that Google has given a company a RFP (request for proposal) with detailed technical specifications regarding a netbook, and has even begun discussions on building it. Do you think that it might be a possibility that we’ll be seeing a Google netbook sometime in the near future?
