Motorola Cliq rooted

Fanboys, listen up! Just like the Motorola Droid, the Cliq has been rooted although it has yet to be fully ready for one to release mods for it, which translates to a lack of new ROMs at the moment. All of that will be a matter of time though, and we look forward to seeing the likes of mods such as Cyanogen and Sense among others, er, take root in due time, pardon the pun.

Motorola: Motorola is an American telecommunication company that has been split in two: Motorola Mobility (now a Google company) and Motorola Solutions. Motorola Mobility now focuses on handsets and set top boxes, while Motorola Solutions works on infrastructure and enterprise products. rooting: Rooting is essentially a process that allows users of smartphones, tablets or other devices running on Android to gain “superuser” access to the software. This will allow the user to perform administrative tasks such as writing to locations normally restricted by the system which in turn will allow for deeper customization.
